How to delete a page from a PDF file

Knowing how to delete a page from a PDF file will improve your mastery of document editing. As you format and make changes to your PDF, especially when condensing information, you may end up with extra pages you do not need.

There are many reasons why you may need to delete the pages of your document. But, what’s important is that the PDF editor you are working with makes it easy for you to remove pages from your document. Soda PDF gives you a couple of ways you can accomplish the task.

Delete pages from Preview Pane

Firstly, the preview pane serves as your main document management center. You will see a preview of each page, and you can interact with them directly.

  1. Click on the Preview Pane icon on the left side.
  2. Click the pin icon to keep it open as you continue your work.

  1. Click on a page to select it.
    1. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking to select additional pages. Make sure to only click while pressing the CTRL key or else you’ll only be selecting the new page.
    2. You can also select a range of pages at once if they are all in a row. Once you have selected the first page, hold down the Shift. Then when you click on the last page to be selected, all the pages in between will also be selected.
    3. You can also hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor to highlight and select multiple pages at once.

Selecting a single page will bring you to it and you will see a blue border surrounding the page.

Selecting multiple pages will result in a red border surrounding the pages after you have selected them.

  1. Right click on any selected page.
  2. You can also hit Delete.

Your page(s) will be deleted from the PDF.
